    apologies in advance!
I line in Essex..near Southend on sea and i am having real problems
trying to find restoration courses for either evenings or part-time.
Want to learn basic welding techniques and spraying etc. and can find
plenty of colleges offering this in other parts of the country...but not

    In
didn't they do vehicle restoration courses in Colchester?

I'd have enrolled, but it'd involve moving to Essex.

The Colchester Institute do some fairly well known courses.
They have been mentioned in all sorts of classic car
    magazines over the years.

They used (5 or 6 years ago) to have a classic vehicle show
there also, don't know if they still do, but the students
woudl all show their project etc. They seemed to be a very
    high standard.

However, I just had a look on the web site
    (http://www.colchester.ac.uk/default.asp) and all the part
time courses I could find seemed to require you to be
employed in this line of work. There might be others there,
but I got fed up looking (about 40 seconds is my attention

I appreciate the time you spent looking, many thanks for that, i also
noticed that you have to be employed etc. within the sector to be able
to attend their courses..thats a shame.
Walthamstow college apparently run a vehicle body repair course &
motorcycle/scooter mechanics course, both evening classes, gonna pop
down to their open evening later this month, will let people know if
interested what they have availiable and cost's etc.

    Many Thanks
    Mick
