Right, my elderly AC buzz-box arc welder is available free and gratis
    to UKRM.

Output cables are getting frayed and the earth clamp's getting a bit
wonky. Duty cycle on full power isn't brilliant; be prepared to take
lots of tea/fag/beer breaks. I *might* have a really crap hand-held
face shield with a taped-in glass somewhere.

Also going: one elderly light-duty MIG welder in pretty similar
condition. I think there's a bottle of CO2 which I'll throw in with
the welder if it's got any gas in it. This welder works, well it did a
couple of years ago, no reason to suppose that it's died, but is prone
to stuttering and jamming. The fact that the wire spool on it has been
there for several years prolly doesn't help. I'd appreciate a donation
to the Pip Luscher Beer Fund for this one. If no-one's interested then
I'll clean it up a bit and ebay it. Can't remember seeing the face
    shield for this one anywhere.

Both items are taken on the understanding of caveat emptor. If I
remember then I'll shove them on an RCD to see if there's any earth
    leakage.

Buyer/taker collects or possibly we can UR them.

Apparently Bonners has an O Level in Metalwork and another in Biology
    - so if you need your cat welding, Andy's yer man.

Grade E in metalwork due to the absence of coursework and I didn't
    take biology at O level.

I don't bother commenting on the O levels I did get decent grades at
because they're not very relevant to repairing rotating machinery.

Not even when the brown stuff hits the rotating machinery?
