Weird dreams

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Whinging Courier, Feb 14, 2006.

  1. Last night I dreamt I came back to my bike after parking it up (forgot
what I was doing or why I was there) and it had every panel smashed, it
was fucked. Then (I also forget how) I found out that someone had
vandalised it and I vaguely remember knowing the person who had done it.

I'd never met them before and I was heartbroken :(

Guilt innit? The person you were thinking of was the straight you
pissed off that the other side of you had gone and spoilt it for the
pair of you by buying a gay bike. Sort of mental self mutilation it is.

All perfectly normal, don't worry about it, just sell the bike and the
    nightmares will go away.

Heh, won't argue with you there, though I was referred for an MRI today
so it's possibly more than just in my mind.

Just got it MOTed the other day. The guy went "It's passed" and I
replied "I should bloody think so it's been sitting in the garage for
    a year!".

From my conversations with you I recall your FatBlade having panels
pinched off of it all the time. I suppose you feel this is likely to
happen again with your beloved R1.

Mark: It's only a bike, it's going to all go crap sooner or later and
there is no real benefit in you getting stressed over it until it's
    happened.

Why? Have you got another bike you'd have liked him to trash as well?

    I doubt I'd have noticed.

Here's a picture of my CBR, except now it looks rattier than in the
    picture:

My GS is quickly entering ratdom, too but I have no pictures of that.

Buy a new bike[1] and see how it feels.

[1] One you want, rather than one you have to buy because you won't fit
on it[2] or because it won't fit your wallet or whatever.
[2] It's the most uncomfortable thing I've ridden, bar none but I'm
keeping it because I'm getting used to it.

You on the other hand are just a poof.

I find that I treat brand spanking new cars in the same way as I
treated my shit 15 year old Proton. I treat them both with respect,
but in the end they're just cars.

I'm quite lucky in that the bike I want I can fit on.
Does your back hurt after a while of riding
And you are just one of countless faceless straights. But I do value
your opinion as a person and a friend.

WTF has a car got to do with this? I don't give a shit about cars.
Yes. Not as bad as it did. Right between my shoulder blades.

Summer's coming and the opportunity to ride it for longer is
approaching. I've got used to it a bit but it needs riding for longer
and I need something more challenging than riding the fsking thing
    upright all the time.

    Ta.

It was more comfy with the clip-ons (as seen in the pic) but the
    straight bars look better.

It now has streetfighter headlights held on with antenna wire :) and the
numberplate is at such an angle as to make it unreadable at anything
less than standing up next to it.

Comparison, Mark. I've never had a new bike, but I have had new cars.
I shall explain: If I had new bikes and old bikes then I would have
said something like "I agree." As I've had old and new cars I am
using that as a frame of reference - I treat old and ner vehicles the
    same way.
Do you find that your wrists or hands hurt after a while? I'm not
sure what I think about forced riding positions, but I suppose they're
quite good for that style of bike.
