Hm. A little more temperate than your other response. :)

I'm not suggesting that anyone here is advocating fraud. But then the
people who sue their employers after a fall at work aren't commiting
fraud, either. They're just taking advantage of the system to make some
    money out of their misfortune.

If people want to offer their good wishes, as others have suggested, then
    there are other ways.

It just rankles with me and smacks of hypocrisy.

Heh. I had my driver's seat mechanism fail once, one second I was looking
straight ahead, the next I was staring at the inside of the roof. This would
have been hilarious for me except I was pushing 125mph on the front straight
of a racetrack at the time, approaching a corner called 'rattlesnake'. It
was therefore only hilarious for everyone else instead, bastards.

I'm waiting for the pedestrian I hit on Friday to send in the no-win
    no-fee brigade.

Briefly spoke to the Traffic Police in charge of the incident; he says
there are two witness statements: one is I was "going too fast" the other
says the pedestrian had taken two steps from the pavement when I hit her
and I wasn't speeding. Dibble says this concurs with the final positions
of me, pedestrian and bike; the lack of serious injuries (both the girl
and me) the type of damage to the bike.

Had it been anything else he would be taking a different approach to the
    whole incident.

Witness says I went over the bars landed on my back; twitched and then
sprang to my feet "like a cat". I suspect this is a "**** I'm lying in
the middle of the road and about to get run over" reaction.

Bit cross about my helmet but I've had my money's worth. The MZ will be
fixed once I've got the lazy bastard in charge of the spares mountain to
stop pissing about on his computer.
