Weggy down but not out

  1. There must be something about that stretch of motorway because there was
a pileup in almost the same place on Friday night! I think you were
slightly further north by about two junctions but even so, the carnage
was spread far and wide )

Do you really expect them to tell you he was speeding?

  5. He was most likely in a state of shock himself. I remember watching a
lorry take out a cyclist in truly awe inspiring form and no body spoke
to the driver that I saw.
How's a guide dog going to drive better?
This is true! I settled for an accident I had a couple of years back and
only now is it really beginning to hurt. The sharpness has gone but it's
now a dull ache that never quite goes away.

    Brain tumour. £50k at least

Almost certainly severe vertebral trauma. Those necek injuries can be
    fuceking bad news as well.

  9. Good point. Nail in the fusebox for the speed limiter. That bypasses the
    tacho*graph* too, by the way.

  11. What amused me was when I rang Patrick, told him the tale, and asked if
it was the sort of thing he would handle. Which it is.

And I added: "Thank Christ nobody was hurt."

To which he responded: "Who *says* nobody was hurt?"

You want this bastard fighting your corner, I tell you.

I see loads of others are joining in on this. Are any of you the same
folk who bemoan our increasingly litigious culture and its effect on our
    insurance premiums?

  19. There's a difference between an utterly frivolous claim, and one where
you were nearly flattaned and (I'd guess) scared shitless by some twonk
in charge of a multi-ton speeding truck.
