speaking "first of the year", it's April tomorrow, and I can't
remember anyone getting a FBOTY this year - have I missed something?

We've probably had the WPOTY (Worst Pun Of The Year) already.
My vote goes to 'Basques' last week.

that wasn't original, though. I think to actually win the award, it
has to be all the culprit's own work.

oh sure, don't wait for us - we know how it is: so little time, so
    many motorbikes to fall off.

  14. To be fair I did have you in mind but I'd already hit the send button
    and couldn't go back.

I got pissed off with power rangers overtaking on blind bends
yesterday, as I went for a bimble along the A32. It's well known to
bikers (and plod) but they still behave stupidly.

I did have a shock when something like a GT750 overtook me, two-up,
but I was impressed with his riding as I tried to keep up, and failed,
until we got to the A3. I know I'm a bit rusty, but his cornering was
way better than mine. There's nothing like a well ridden bike in
front to help hone your own cornering skills, though.

You're probably right (especially as I hit a large lump of metal on a
motorway in France last year), but the road in places was very wet
with water draining from fields. He probably does much more riding
than I do these days, that's why I'm trying to get out much more
before we hit France in the near future...

It's more of an "I've been riding all winter and now these cunts have
come out and they're overtaking me" type of thing.

I believe it may be me this time, after smashing my new to me SV under
a Honda Accord on Jan 24th, causing 2300 quids worth of damage to it.

    It's all repaired now.

The rules must get more complicated every year if a written-off Z9R,
broken hand and hospital treatment on Jan 21st doesn't beat yours.
