Anyone between the M4 and Docklands seeing rain at the moment?

Trying to decide whether to take the bike or (pool) car to Telehouse...

That's between the M4 and Docklands but slightly to one side presumably.

Well, a bit to the north of that it's <looks> overcast but dry, with
    the occasional goose honking past.

    speaking of which.

It's only supposed to be sunny at Snetterton every day next week
*except* the day I'm doing a trackday.

Tempted to stick D207s on at the weekend, and keep the Rennsports for
    another time...

That's a point - what is the road-going sportsbike tyre du jour? It used to
be the BT010 that everybody raved about, but that's been around 4 years now,
    so is clearly rubbish ...

I'm off to get some new tyres this weekend and I reckon I might try those
Pirelli Diablo jobbies because they came top in Bike mag so they must be
    good...

I've no idea - I have Metzeler Rennsports on the 'blade now, and
whilst they're *OK* in the wet, I wouldn't really enjoy doing a wet
    trackday on them.

I had D207RRs on before - they were pretty good, but I've no idea
wether or not they're considered the bollocks.

There was a tyre test in one of the mags recently, that someone posted
the results of which on here...

I'm going to phone up my usual tyre fitter and see what he suggests,
    basically.

It is? arse. weather.com gives it as partly cloudy with only a 10% chance
of 'precipitation' so it may be OK.
You do that, then its bound to be dry.

    it's a gamble, I know. I was using www.theweatheroutlook.com who've
been OK in the past. Hopefully they're wrong this time.
true - but D207s/BT014s etc are good tyres in the dry too, but just
    not as grippy as Rennsports.

It's a week away. Untold numbers of butterflies messing about all over the
place could have any effect. And I've done Snetterton in the rain. It's not
    my turn anymore.
