IIRC another airport parking scam uncovered at Gatwick was leaving the
cars on industrial estate roads and the like rather than the secure
    compounds promised.

You'll be sorry when my idea takes off...

Just like my invisible flying car - powered by butterflies. Quiet but
(with enough of them) phenomenally powerful as an inter-county ballistic
    cruiser.

The really worrying thing about the NHS, is that I am one of the sane
    ones.

I've thought of that - all flights will be rescheduled so that there is
no first flight of the day.

do, let's kill all the lawyers".

I'll leave that to you to sort out - I'm working on a strategic level,
    not operational.

There is a theory among airline pilots that future generations of
aircraft will be crewed by a man and a dog.

The man's job is to feed the dog.

The dog's job is to bite the man if he tries to touch the controls.

I do wonder what they do in the case of old gimmer who aren't in a posit
ion to do the work personally. Presumably their neighbours help in
exchange for pecan pie and moonshine. Or perhaps in the spirit of free
enterprise they subcontract to their friendly local snowbusters.

Time spent reading Knights Local Government reports gave me a similar
view to yours of much of the legal profession decades ago. Their street
lamp decorating, decomposing, bodies might interfere with efficient
    illumination though.

They'd all desiccate and drop off within a couple of months. A minor
inconvenience at worst. Well worth it in the end.

Good point, and also so wasteful. A Swiftian modest proposal would be
    more in order.

Can you make sure they make a distinction between "gone to work" and
    "physically travelled to the office"?

I was told a few years ago that my crash helmet had to go as hold
luggage because it could be used as a weapon. I took a couple of
photos of the helmet to show that it was completely undamaged before I
put it in their bin liner and handed it over.

When I caught the return flight I asked at the check in whether there
was a problem with the crash helmet they said no and told me it had to
fit in an overhead locker but that was the only requirement.

Easyjet from Luton airport to Zurich.

I thinking of taking the outfit out for a whizz along a few country
lanes tomorrow. The 70mph weave should be the least of my worries..
