I'm heading off to Accrington to collect some cars with a mate today,
what's the weather like up there?

According to the weather reports - shite. White shite.

Have you looked out of the window yet? I did and there was parpage.
The roads are white, see. I undertook a little investigation and the
A6 is as slippery as ****, the A507 is like an ice rink - and there
was a guy on the radio saying it had taken him two hours to get from
North of MK to Dunstable - down the A5.

I'm not bad at driving in snow, thanks to years of practice refreshed
by a bit of playing recently - but I never got over 20mph and it isn't
me, it's the other useless cunts. Tracks leading to cars parked at
odd angles all over the place, there is.

Looks like Boy gets another Snow Day.

    Worksop/Doncaster/Scunthorpe not too bad.
East of the Pennines is another matter though...
    Stay at home, Loz.

    Oops. My bad.
That should be West of the Pennines.

Looks all right to me: cold and dry enough that the 9R didn't even hint
    at carb icing.

As they are round here. I'm working from home, and Mrs WUN has just had
to decide not to try to get to a funeral in Coventry.

OTOH, one of my neighbours has just gone sailing past the house at about
    30. On packed snow and ice. In a Ka.

I wonder how far she'll get?

My guess is clear across the junction, then the grass verge, and possibly
a fair way across the ditch.

Finally had the mother-load here. Can't see me being able to go
anywhere today unless I stick the knobbly tyres on the Jeep.

A load in Gloucestershire too - the Cirencester school that F's
daughter goes too, which has remained open all week, is closed today.
And it's snowing again now here in Cheltenham.
eh? Surely the Corvette is great fun in snow :)

I'm not surprised, they said on the news last night the midlands would
    get the worst of it.
Compacted snow would be hysterical - I doubt it would move an inch in
    this stuff though.

Hmm. Got to be a BMW, with a biggish motor in it. Another 7 series,
    yes?

I suspect he told us a few days ago, in a "I'd really like, but..." post.
After all, that's more power than anything "normal" out of BMW, and I
wouldn't have expected a journey that long to pick up something "normal".
A quick google suggests a strong similarity in that power figure, too...

There seems to be a lack of grit on the roads in Herefordshire. Loads of
accidents being reported across the Wyvern radio area.

I'm glad I decided to stay at home today as it's still snowing here.

My new boss is on her 2nd snow day this week, so what's good for the
    goose...

I always used BA when I was doing that route. Best fare I saw was 5 quid
    one way.
