  2. The correct spelling (as far as I can tell) is do-rag, although some
say it keeps the "dew" off their heads. Or, as one old gentleman
rider once told me, "it's dew, dammit!"
    Take your pick.

Not to be pedantic (Picky) but the calendar hasn't changed since 1979.
But that's okay I forgive you...they still made the GL1100 standard
    back then. 8^)

    Somebody I like who I wished would wear a helmet...that's all. I
don't like head injuries, whether it's me or someone else. Because I
care is that a good enough reason? But I do respect his right to
    choose.

at least you knew I was having some fun. But you have to admit they
don't do a thing when bad things happen while riding.

==no not really. Yawl havent rode with 'annoy-mus'' since he switched
motorsikels, and got'em uh...FJR1300 Sport looking Bike????? I think
they resemble sport bikes, some may not. Pender probably thinks they
dont resemble ''nothing''. But what does he No.

==Oh Keith, I didnt realize you were referring to Riders who ONLY wear a
'doRag'', while riding, in other words no Helmet. For the record, I
often wear a doRag under my Helmet, and so 4th. But I am a Helmet kinda
guy.....I think a Helmet is a ''head protection'' gear...no more, no
    less. jaytfuss=

It also keeps you cooler when it's hot and warmer when it's cold. Not
that I'd EVER test this out mind you. I'm too much a chicken.

===not to mention how good we look in a helmet, in my opinion. Keith,
every since ''Top Gun''...I've liked Helmets.....''remember maverick''.

I've done better. I have a DOT warning placard on the back of mine.
"Spontaneously Combustable 4" 8^) It seemed appropriate and still
does. On a side note the old T-500 (Suzuki) I'm slowly rebuilding
finally let me know it's name, Angeline. ;^) Look up the lyrics to an
old Stray Cats tune called Reckless iirc...brain is a bit fuzzy this
am. I get the old girl finished I just might have a pinks race with
    the debil hissownseff. ;^)
