What recommends the FOAK? Just came across the "Sidi Tuono" 2-piece but
seems it is only available in the US (tried to google it across UK
without much success) for a very reasonable 70 usd.

Want something similar, ideally somethign that'll stow under the seat.

If you're out in leathers and it gets cold, do you just put a fleece on
over the top? Don't care too much about the aerodynamics, comfort
    first...

You can get cheap waterproof keks, but they're not breathable, which
    isn't ideal.
The sidi oversuit doesn't pack down all that small, and don't buy one
off Ebay, make sure you try it on.
I don't (wear a fleece) I tend to only ride in leather jacket if it's
really warm out, otherwise I find my Gore tex is more windproof, less
    draughty, and warmer.

I used to have a hideous zip up overjacket, which was actually an MX-
style jacket. These can be stowed easily, and can be put on over a
leather if it's cold or rainy.

You've several options, why don't you go down to Bykebitz in Yateley
    and have a shufty ...

    Cheers,

    Paul.

Hein Gericke do perfectly decent waterproof overclothes. But Millets will
sell you the cheap type that pack down really small and remain waterproof.
OTOH Berghaus do lightweight waterproof overtrousers and jackets that rock.

Somewhere around the 40 quid mark then? :)
I've got their under the leathers version and it rocks. they (trews and long
sleeved shirt) also make getting into and out of leathers a lot easier.

On the way back from France, Statto felt the need to lend me his
Berghaus windstopper, as it had become quite cold and a little damp -
and I'd worn my summer leathers with the lining removed and left at
home. I was struggling, TBH, and the jacket made a great deal of
difference in the "not dying of exposure at the ton" stakes.

I now own one: a Choktoi Pro Windstopper. Reasonably water-resistant,
    too.

I'm currently using a cheap suit I got for 30ukp last year. So far so good.

It had no stow bag, so I cut my old leaky ones out of theirs and stuff
    them in that.
I prefer to have bag around waist
No, I wear me Darmarts under neath.

Pat's got one of those very thin windstopper jackets that go under the
leathers - fold up really tiny when not in use. Swears by it. I'll ask
her the name when she gets in.

I have HG waterproofs and far prefer them to the Ride Best Buy sidi
suit I had a few years ago.

    I've got a HG one-piece suit and it's excellent.

I haven't worn it since I bought my HG textile kit with Goretex goodness
    though.

Christ knows. I don't recall you and Champ ever being here at the same
time, unless... ah yes, digging through the old pictures I see several
of Ness at the 2001 AlsAcefest (in November). Just one with you
recognisable, and one of the back of your head.

  15. So, 8 years then.

You hadn't long moved, I think. We all arrived by planes and trains. I
got totally arseholed and fell asleep and you lot went down the pub and
played pool or summat. That visit was the last time I saw "the one that
was hated by everyone for running up someone's phone bill". Can't
remember his name now. Ah! Vince. Had a ZX9R, which Champ took for a
    drunken spin.
Looks like I've got my dick hanging out.

    Just over a month.
Ahh, that'd be why you weren't in the pub piccies then.
I think he was still sober at that stage, actually, and it was just to
confirm to Vince that the reason he'd not managed to get it above
about 160mph was simply that he'd never worked out that it had six
    gears, not five.
    Naah, far too big.

Must admit, had rather forgotten about them, it'll make a change from
the usual HG and Infinity visits.

    Where from/what's it called?
Yebbut if you're out and start to feel cold, then easy to put something
on over the top. Or do the Damarts keep you cool too?
