Also good for keeping feet dry - put over socks inside boots as they
yea learned that one comin back from melb once in pissin down rain in
winter... with the ex on the back, we were literally doing servo to
servo along the hume so she could feel her feet..

happened to catch up with a mate who said bags between her feet and
socks, then feet and boots... we put one on the outside too, but yea
they died fairly fast... It worked a treat.. didnt have to stop again.
Rubber overboots are the go, but wear out real fast if your walkin
round and forget to take em off

  3. If you want a 100% waterproof bag get a Drysack from
    any kayak shop.

A mistake that a lot of people make when packing clothes
in bags is crush the clothes down inside the bag making
a "vacuum", as soon as you have a lower pressure inside
a bag it will suck in water/air from outside. Its best to have
the bags just slightly pressured that way the water stays
    out.

heaps of options available... you can get plenty of waterproofing
compunds from camping stores and sailing stores that work with some
degree of success but leave the bag a bit 'goopy'. There are also lots
of waterproof bags available in all sizes from camping stores and
sailing stores, try whitworths; they've got plenty of stores, usually
ok on price and will send you a comprehensive catalogue for free.
There are lots of goodies for boats that adapt nicely to bikes,
especially all the 12V electronics stuff. A lot of it is cheap (sub
    $10).

Plastic bags are great for unexpected things, but i find it gets pretty
annoying having to tie/untie, check for holes and rips, and you cant
see whats inside them most of the time either. I went down to one of
the bigger Bunnings and looked through their 'overgrown tupperwear'
section. I found a big plastic box that fit _exactly_ inside my gear
sack, and i think it cost $14. It's super water proof. I probably
lost about 5% of the space inside my sack, but it works well, weighs
    little and is very functional.

Why can't women park cars ?

Because for years they've been told <insert visual of fingers not very
    far apart> is 12"s
