While I support your other claims, this last undermines your
    trustworthiness, no?

If you want something less spendy, I've had a few pairs of Frank Thomas
boots over the years & they've never leaked.
Anything waterproof will be too hot in 'suvvern europe' in summer. For
those trips, get a holey pair of summer boots & stick some waterproof
overboots in your tankbag. The Bering overboots are very good.

Hmmm... it looks like the thieving bastards at the PO want 20 quid,
which I guess knocks it on the head.

    Unless... UR anyone?

The pair od Roadstar GTXs you bought me for xmas 2002 are still going
strong but could do with a refurb now as the soles are wearing. They're
still warm, comfy and keep my feet dry. Nearly 7 years use from a pair
of bike boots is pretty damned good.

  15. Priced that too. 27.99 not including moppage and dry ice. And which
one to send, the big un or the little un? And what if it got lost in
    the post!

Really? I've heard rumours that they get knackered very quickly if you
use them for anything involving physical exercise.

I keep thinking of getting some for cycling in the winter.

  17. I've found them ok so far, but you'd not want to let your toenails get
    talon-like.

I'd also heard tales of them being a little fragile, so best bet is
get a pair and see what you think. They're certainly toasty and bear
in mind I do tend to feel the cold.
