I googled for Champ's posts for the quote Nigel gave i.e. "quart into a
pint pot", nowt came up.

Without knowing any more about the subject, it's difficult to add any
other keywords. My memory isn't anywhere near as good as anyone else's,
I rely on google and on gleaning as much info as I can from what I see
written. When I see posts that resemble cryptic clues from The Times
crossword I just move to the next post, there's no way I can fathom some
of them.

 

If you put "quart pint pot champ" into the basic - not the advanced -
search, not specifying author, newsgroup, anything, it's the first thing
pops up.
