Yo all, how ya doin' these days?

Felt like doing a short ride yesterday so contacted a couple guys from
work and we hooked up and rode.

Cruised out of Area 51 to Copper Canyon RD and headed north. The road is
only 35mph but it's cool that it has some very tight turns and twists.

Got to Teasley Ln and went into to Denton. Got onto 288 took it to 380
then took the big sweeper to go 377 north.

Headed east on 428, south on 1385 then back on 428 as it wound around up
to Celina. Decided to get on 455 and head towards Pilot Point.

Now on 455 - another good two-lane blacktop with good curves - it gets
interesting. It seems that Big Brother had decided to certain curves
should be taken as certain speeds - like a 90 deg. curve to the left
should be taken and 30mph. Well of course those of us on two wheels know
the complex mathematical equation that you take the number printed on the
sign and add 20 then subtract a couple or add a couple.

Turns out that I should have subtracted a couple instead of adding...

Leaning into the curve at around 55mph, scraping my left floorboard and
left edge of my left boot I felt myself drifting further towards the
grass. Sure enough got into the grass and low-sided. Slid about 10ft
and took out a post and a sign that pointed "go that way". Continued the
slide for about another 10-15ft and came to a gentle resting spot.

I got up, checked to make sure all body parts were still in place then
picked up the bike and started it back up. The only damage to the bike
was having the engine guard bent in a little and the trim on the lower
end of the front fender bent up - both easy fixes.

We continued across 455 into Pilot Point, south on 377 til 455 then west
across 455 around the south end of lake Ray Roberts to I35s.

Headed south towards Corinth and American Eagle HD. They have a massive
party outside every Sat. including a bike wash by bikini clad individuals
of the female persuasion as well as bike games, etc, etc.

Saturday's ride and stop over was a blast. Only around 90 miles but the
roads in NE Denton Co. - NW Collin Co. are a blast.

However, you managed to stick it out, and stayed the course, and
managed to not get hurt, and by golly, got back on the road, and
continued your planned ride ''in spite all''.........what a blasted
    fun ride! JayT=

    remember the '1.'

Geez JayT - Ya know - it was the same thing that Brian pointed out about
the wipeout down on 219 last August. I was suppose to curve "left" but
the right-wing republican side of just didn't want to so I stayed to the
    "right".

    I guess I need to learn to be a little more open minded. NAH! ;-}

    Hey Bill!

It sounds like you had a good ride. If you''d stop thinking about all
those bikini clad babes washing your bike, you'd stay out of the ditch
getting it muddied up, you think?

BTW, there's a great book that you might want to check out. Total
Control by Lee Parks. After reading it, you'll think of how you ride a
whole new way. It *should* be required reading.

    Later!

Figure it, Jerry....you have an illegal alien from Canada who is on
every welfare program two countries have to offer. I spent all of one
year in their schools up there, and the dumb bastards can't figure out
what language to speak. It's worse than being in southern Louisiana. I
was never so glad to get back to an education system that teaches
fundamentals of learning instead of spending a half a school day in
    classes teaching students to speak.

They don't learn basic math until the 9th grade....

Didn't "Hooked on Phonics" and "Teletubbies" originate from Canada?

=============Bill Cee, I imagine shared his incident, to warn us older
riders, about misNegotiating them curves. BW,Is there a chapter on the
properness of entering a curve, based on speedness, and mentalityness.
Lets take those young guys, like BryanUT and Calgary, and TIM.M...I bet
they're excellant at taking curves at 70% higher speed, than shown on
the 'Speed limit advised curved signs''. (PS, BW, I know you can, I saw
    ya)
-----(the BOOK)---I'll go find that book, at Books'a' Million, get a cup
of coffee, and sit in one of their comphy chairs, and by the end of the
week, I will have read it---Free!

Teletubbies is actually kinda interesting if you are trippin' balls :)
Not that I would know, of course, I just know what my friends tell me
    about that sorta activity.

If Barney was on fire though, I'ld put his ass out with an ax.

I got up, checked to make sure all body parts were still in place then
Some offered books/video for your whatever.
Those instructionals mostly covered what to do, and how to do, to prevent
crashes. Someone needs to pick it up from there.

I suggest, Bill C. that you write a book or record a video.

    Title ideas

''What to do when you don't do what the book sez''

    '' Rolling with the floor''

    ''Tumbling and the Harley Davidson''

    ''Surviving over the edge''

    ''One lane short''

    ''Shit''

    I've seen you act, amazing!

And how are you doing feeding off free medical care after being dumb
enough to get snakebit in your back yard? Lose much more time off work
and you might have to file for bankruptcy again!
After reading your prose for a few years around here it is abundantly
clear you skipped basic english and literature classes.
You discovered that in what, your third try at grade nine?

Cool Brian - I'll check the book out.

I can attest that bikini clad babes was not on my mind - the only thing
going through my mind was "awww shit - I didn't cut hard enough!"

I got the latest DVD from the RLaP guy - excellent stuff.

It was funny when I was doing a 5mph-creep up to a light that a Hurst
motorcop came up along side of me and was doing the same thing. We just
smiled at each other then the light changed and he went after a guy who
    ran a red light.

Bikini clad babes are ALWAYS on my mind...especially when I'm rolling
around in the dirt with an 800lb bike....y'all probably didn't need to
    know all that, huh?

I was out riding with a group of other riders a couple months ago. We
were zipping down some of the roads up around my place and I was
slowed down messing with the gps and psp when several of us came into
a curve. The other riders were used to me hitting the throttle hard in
the curves and they thought I'd do it on this curve. Instead, they
found themselves going hard in the inside of the curve and ended up
pushing me into the middle of the road where there were a bunch of
bumps and ruts. I had to get with the program because when I hit the
bumps it stood the bike back up and into the oncoming lane. I got hard
on the brakes and fell back behind the group for a short way. When
everyone stopped for a break, they asked me what happened. I just told
them I was concentrating on the motogp game on the psp and was on the
last lap of winning the race.

I guess that's the good thing of having all that electronic crap on
the bike, otherwise I'd have to make up some silly story about
thinking about bikini clad babes washing my motorcycle..... :)

Speaking of bikini clad babes, I've got to go back to Florida for the
next several weeks. I have some installs down there and I'm trying to
catch up before the nasty assed illegal aliens from Canada get down
there. Personally, I wished they'd keep their uni-brow pasty white
cellulouse old women up there. They look like Bigfoot shaven and in a
speedo!!! Even the locals in Hollywood hate to see the season start
up. You can go on the beach and get naked, until the Canadians show
up....then they require as much clothes as possible to cover their
ugly asses up!!! Maybe Don Binns will pull his "clout" up there and
    keep them for a season?

*** No offense to Shania Twain and Terri Clark....those are two rare
    exclusions ***
