Just a warning regarding UK Car Check aka Infochek Ltd:
    www.ukcarcheck.com

I'm sure I'm not the only person to have been scammed by them. Filled
in their online form for a car I was going to buy, submitted my card
details, they took my 20 quid and all I got was an auto-reply saying
that they'd received my order and would be in touch within 24 hours...

That was almost 2 weeks ago and they've ignored my emails.
Unfortunately there isn't a contact telephone number so not a lot more
I can do. I informed the police but they say it's a civil matter. So
have had to cancel my credit card and am down 20 quid - better that
than 2 grand I suppose but still...

I did find an old thread regarding this company and the same thing
happened to another guy, although he was lucky enough to stop his card
    before they took his money.

    Regards

    Rixman

Enter the amount into dispute with your credit card company, you'll get it
    back eventually.

Ooo, I used to work at 4 Exchange Quay(Barclaycall). Posh offices so it
would cost a bit to get set up there. I can try asking some old mates if
they would knock on the door to see if anyones home if it would help.

This will be the registered office which could be their accountants rather
    than the business themselves.
