    Would sir fancy a Ducati?
Depends on your interpretation of reasonably priced - I want what it stands me
    at which is £1100[1].
12 months tax , just out of test only because I haven't gotten round to getting
    it sorted[2].
    Photo here : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/sloukes/Ducati_Pantah.jpg -
now has front mudguard since photo was taken. Loads of old mot's , handbook, road
    tests etc.
Some crazing on the fairing , mirror is shite and wants replacing , speedo
doesn't work (haven't figured out if its the cable or the drive), alloy casings
need polishing , apart from that its lovely...

    Steve
[1] This is not negotiable.I'd rather keep it.
[2]I'm working in Dublin mon - fri till next march and weekends are full of
    other stuff to do
    like riding the Vmax.....

  16. If you're talking about the CB250N from 1978-83, Bollocks.

Mind you, they christened the later one an SD too, which is
    confusing....

  18. In uk.rec.motorcycles, SteveL amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
    It's not for me.

It's actually a friend of my Mum's who was impressed that I could get a
decent motor for less than £300 and a GS450 for a little over £300. She
used to have a V50 but sold it and I wickedly let her have a go on my
    Suzuki at the weekend.

She's now adamant that she wants another bike. The description in the OP
    was hers, not mine.
About five hundred quid, give or take.
That's a nice bike. I'd be tempted myself if I lived in an area I could
    enjoy it.

    Whinging Courier says...
I used to have a girlfriend who rode a fucking horrible heap of a V50
Monza. She was pretty loaded for a 20 year old burd and I could never
work out why she wouldn't buy a new bike, could never work out why she
never went above 70 either. Then I rode it oner day, and soon found
    out.

Those things vibrate like **** in the seat region at 70.
