Its Ducati front wheel off time, MOT failure for a "ding" and flatspot in
    wheel (I blame Portugal).

Anyone in the NW area, Liverpool/Manc got one I can borrow ?

The bike is actually up in the air at the moment using the rear paddock
stand and axel stands on the forks.

I'd be happier with a paddock stand.

Oh, and just how hard can it be to get a 14mm allan key head for a socket
    drive ?

I will, at the right price.

Ducati Manchester want 90 odd ukp!

    I'd say 30ukp was reasonable.

Sounds dodgy as **** to me.

Abba stand and a jack under the sump/collector box works for me.

I'd say you should be able to buy a set of 3mm to 19mm hex bit sockets
for about £45. Obviously that's only the standard sizes in that range
rather than everything but equally obviously they'd be half decent
    tools.

Or google for a 14mm hex driver.

Or go to Halfords - cost you about a fiver.

Just buy a big 14mm allen key. That's what I did. It lives in the
    toolkit under the seat now.

M&P were doing a pack containing front and rears for 35 quid recently.

Just buying one was the hard bit, no where local had one. It was only when
the guy at Motorworld suggested sump plug sockets that I changed my gaze
and snaffled Halfords last 14mm one.

All the Allen key sets I came across maxed out at 10 or 12mm.

Jacking up the 750 on the sump causes it to tip over, and not bring up
    front end.

Two lifting and 1 placing jacks was the answer.

I'm impatient, I wanted it now while I had time :)

Being still new to these sporty bike things I had never considered the
issue of front wheel removal. One wil be on Jean's birthday list now :)

You need to get further south, we did, ended up in Tarifa and then
    Morocco.

That can't happen with an Abba stand, as they screw into the swingarm
    pivots and lock solid.
