Don't you work for, like, a motorcycle shop? Actually, I might know of
one, especially if anyone happens to know where I could find an 80cc
minibike I could use as a decoy ...

(J5, are any of the Chinese ones not utter crap?)

well there is utter crap and there is the good crap

The real secret is if you can find parts for em

Looking on ebay there is places that are importing and also bringing parts

I guess you you can fix just about anything , its the motor that you will
have trouble with if you cant find parts

Most of the ones on ebay have a motor by the name of ducor which is what
Blakes bike has in it and by accounts are semi decent

  8. It's a Ducar (cross between a Ducati and Dakar, but don't tell Biggus!)

J5's on the ball and time, and dissections, will tell.

Parts seem to be modular and make the prospect of wrecking a new bike very
attractive. Finish is woefull but nothing a bit of ingenuity can't fix.

The 110cc ones (like pissheads lad) and Jacobs one have good motors.
The ancilleries are crap (but easily replaced or worked on). [1]

The 50cc motors tend to be much less reliable.

[1] no idea about the 125 or 200 versions.

Same donk as jacobs, it's been thrashed most weekends and many evenings
by 4 kids (and some heavy adults) and it's still going fine after 2 years.

....but I see where you're heading with that. This particular carcase
is also missing wheels, lights, instrument[1], forks, etc., but I can
probably find something a little more complete if you *really* want a
    90.

By the way, you might want to do some actual measuring of a postie bike
and that motor before you go buying it - all I've done is a "that looks
about right" eyeballing of the two.
