Out for a drink Friday night with some academics and one of them, on
hearing I rode a bike, grasped my hand and said 'I need you'.

Nottingham University are doing SMIDSY research. As he said it's a far
    better acronym than their LBFTS.

They have been comparing novice and experienced drivers and have
hooked up a fair few male bikers to the eye tracker system but need
    female bikers for comparison.

It would involve travelling to Nottingham and about an hour of hazard
perception type tests on screens showing actual roads while wearing an
eye tracker so they can see exactly where people look.

The theory is interesting but as research isn't completed I'll not put
    it up here.

I know a few people who are Derby based which obviously makes it
easier for travel but wondered if anyone here would be interested.

are they after sort of inexperianced female riders? i so i'll ask sam,

we live in nottingham, she's been riding on L plates for 3 years (2 x
cbt's), but only about a full year of actual riding due to her scoot being
fucked most of last year, and us being in europe the year before.

if it helps she failed her theory test when she wanted to do her bike test,
but failed it on a couple of Q's about use of gears on a bike, and she'd
never ridden owt but a twist n go.

I parsed that as "Lustful Baker" for some reason. Probably coz I'm fucking
    Hank Marvin. [1]

[1] Not in the biblical sense.

They need females with both car and bike licence - I'll ask about
experience level as I'm not sure if he's filtering on that criteria.
