Ooh, never one to turn down a freebie, thanks. I'll bring a leakproof
    container with me.

I'll hopefully be fitting the Scottoiler to my Gixer within the next
week, so a little spare oil is always welcome.

I was planning on throwing them away, so I can't really attach a cost
    to 'em.

    Which one do you want?

6210 would be nice please. I can keep it as a spare because I have a
habit of breaking these newer ones.

My old 3210 lasted me for about 5 years, fucking excellent phone that
was. I could make proper phone calls and even send text messages on it.
    Technology is a wonderful thing.

Email me your address and I'll throw it in the post next week.

It's currently locked to Orange (I don't recall ever unlocking it) so
if you want to use it on any other network you'll have to do sourcery.

  10. If there's a free phone going I'd be interested in the other one - the
7110; does the IR work on it?

Bah! EVERYBODY wants my freebie phones.

    I like my 7110!

  13. I'm only interested because of the IR capability - mine's busted in that
department. It doesn't have to be free, if you want to sell it...

I've got a K700i knocking about too. But I'm not sure if I want to use
it again, as I'm not happy with the Orange SPV500 that I've got now.
But the K700i also has loads of faults too.

    <fx: sigh> I dunno.

I'll try the IR later on. I used to do all of the syncing via the
data port, but my lapper does have an IRda port to play with.

I love the 7110, I wish they made phones like it these days.

The only reason I 'upgraded' to the 6210 was because it did HSCSD.

  16. Know what you mean - I've got an old 5210, the rubber cased jobby. Great
little workhorse and almost waterproof - splashproof certainly. It's
fallen down stairs, out of my pocket numerous times and put up with all
sorts of shit and still works. Apart from the IR that is, and I only
    found that out recently.

I recently got a 6610i and it was shite. The camera was shite, the
display was shite, and it felt like it would break soon. I lobbed it
    back and got a refund.

Thank god.... that was the first phone I had that both broke physically
(the slidey thing was wank) and had regular software crashes until I had
    the firmware upgraded.

Now, the SH888 I had before that.... not only a phone, but a lethal
weapon and handy tool in the garage all in one.

Update. Just talked to an ex-work colleague today. Despite now
making another 70 bods redundant last week, it appears that they now
have an shortage of laptops, due to the lots of them over-heating and
burning out [1]. Sounds like the Spanish sun is a bit too much for
them :) So I am expecting a call next week.

[1] The laptops, not the bods who all burnt out a *long* time ago.
