  3. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Muck amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
I saw a blue one on the A10 yesterday.

I'd quite like a soted Brit bike, but it's not going to happen any time
    soon.

Naaa.. I'm talking Matchless and the like, nothing modern. The most
modern Triumph I'd buy is a Speed Triple 900. I don't much like the
plastic fairngs on the modern ones.

Personally I wouldn't touch anything before the T595 Daytona with a
    bargepole.

Personal taste or design defects in the machines?

The early Hinckley Triumphs are way too top heavy for my liking and a
little bit dated in design and looks, but fairly reliable. I much
prefer the look and design of the later ones though.

I wouldn't even consider anything British from any time before the
Hinckley Triumphs though. I think I'm justified in calling them all
    ungodly piles of shite.

Not having the knowelage of different types of Tiumph you have, I take
it that these early Hinckley Triumphs mean the mid to late 1990s ones?
Again, I presume this to mean older shiter ones.

That's a very convincing argument there, that's me converted to uj4
    1000cc sports bikes then. ;)

The thing is, that all my bikes put together any way you like, don't add
up to one 1000cc sports bike.
