Want to Better Understand How Your Motorcycle Works?

1. Do you want to take your understanding of motorcycles to the next
level?

Subterranean Cycles in San Francisco will soon be providing an advanced
seminar and discussion on motorcycle drivetrains, for advanced
laypeople and mechanics alike. Currently, the plan is to hold the
seminar and discussion session one night a week for three to four
consecutive weeks, with topics covering advanced combustion dynamics,
intake and exhaust tuning, carburetor theory, operation, and tuning,
and the principles and operation of electronic fuel injection. By the
time you have completed the program, you will have a full understanding
of the combustion event, spark timing and generation, cam design and
timing, intake and exhaust modifications, and more.

Required reading will be "The Motorcycle Fuel Injection Handbook",
by Adam Wade, which will be included in the cost of the program; we may
also choose to include "The Sportbike Performance Handbook", by
Kevin Cameron. And fear not; more than a third of Adam's book is
about the basics of engine and combustion dynamics, so rest assured
that all enrollees will find plenty of worthwhile material within.

If this sounds like just the thing, please show your interest by
emailing
with your name, email address, and phone number. If you would like to
include information on some subjects you'd like to see covered, and
what you are hoping to get from such a course, please do; we want this
program to meet the needs of its enrollees. And feel free to pass this
on to anyone interested in motorcycles and how they work. We look
forward to providing a wonderful, interactive, educational event for
all.
