Indeed. Go really well in a Kenny Roberts TZ750 modern 'replica'. Big
bollocks required to ride it though I'd bet.

    Ooooh nice.

My mate Gordon looks after one of them old ones, an ex-Fred Stevens
1967 500 Paton. It was raced by Cobby at Goodwood Revival last
year. Quite rare and expensive, apparently!

Talking of rare & expensive, my dad's just sold his RTV to some
multi-millionaire yank pig farmer. Gutted, I was hoping to have first
dibs on that in the inheritence pot.

My mate Olie Linsdell has raced a 500 Paton a few times. His dad is
Steve who owns Flitwick Motorcycles, and he's a big friend of the
family who own the Paton company. Steve raced a 500cc 2-stroke Paton at
the IoM TT in 2007[1] but it broke down.

[1] The only 2-stroke to race.

**** me, Steve has his own Wikipedia page.

Sounded fucking marvellous too, coming through the trees toward Ballacarine.

You only heard it twice then, it broke down just after there on the
    second lap didn't it?

I dont recall TBH, but I work for someone that knows the Italian guys
that brought it over, so had a slight interest in it even before I knew
    it was a GP bike.

There's generally a few Patons knocking round Chimay in July.
