...for the sound of a bike in the drive. Someone tell me I'm a worry
wart and he's fine. Leaving in a minute email at 12.15am and it's only
    90 miles.

    <chews nails><feels nauseous>

    Can't. I've an over active imagination :(

I've been so happy I've just been waiting for the universe to notice
and kick me in the teeth.

"In a minute" meaning "Sometime in the next hour. Probably."

    Quit worrying. That's an order.

  6. There's your problem, a minute is always greater than 60 seconds, unless
it's when the doc says you have a minute to live, then it is invariably less
than 60 secs!?! I can't remember the last time we were going out and the
wife said she would only be a minute to get ready and she actually was, more
like half an hour! The tradesman says 'this job will only take a minute',
yeah I'm sure we've all been there.
He's probably out there enjoying the quiet roads!

    There, you see?

BTW "With swallow" is the traditional way to demonstrate your relief
    that he's still alive.
