of to court in 2 weeks to screw or be screwed (family court)

    tried aus.wallet.remove.via.ones.testicles bit no avail

    trying to grab some info

anyone one now how much an single mother on $520 a week.(that's right
folks...$520 and she doesn't every have to leave the fucking house) with a 6
year old child would pay for a public housing house in the south east burbs
    of Melb

she is going for spousal maintance (yes on top of the $520) and I'm trying
to put some figures together and simply don't know where to ask

that's it....I'm getting a sex change and getting pregnant and expect
    everyone to support me

mh....bitter and very fucking twisted but at least the sex is better :)

  2. Bleah, welcome to the child support nightmare. I hope you have a good
solicitor. If you do they will have an idea of figures.

Can't help with the public housing thing, but from memory the old Housing
Commision guideline used to be 20% of gross income.

Does that $520 include rental assistance? Because she's probably eligible
for that. Not sure how much it is now. Does it include child support?

If you want a good moan to someone who's been through it all (I was shafted,
not the shaftee, fuggin loser ex is still getting paid big bucks to do SFA,
and I saw my kid for the first time in 6 years a couple of months ago
despite court orders otherwise...) feel free to email me offlist

What? Surely this is not the standard pension for a solo mum? Does it
    include rent etc?
I may have to get a divorce.

I rent in that area for about 1000 a month, its a new appartment with
2 rooms (1 is small). I guess public housing is going to be cheaper
    than that.

520 a week seems high, would she not get the dole or something (dole
is 270 a week or there abouts so I figure public housing might run at
    500 month).

I thought divorce was 50/50 of everything + child support depending on
who gets custody. Times sure do change...

I suspect Marty is suffering from a sense-of-humour failure, and frankly,
    who can blame him.

Back off Bobby, there's a time to joke around and a time to STFU.

i was a single mum and i didnt get that for 3 kids
one week use to get more than the other but
am for sure it wasnt that much

and as far as public housing i was told 9 yr waiting list in western
    suburbs
i could have got in early if i went into emgerancy housing but why put
    the kids thru that

i would think if you had to pay sposual support they would cut her
    pension a bit

True - but the post doubled as moral support for Marty, so I opted to go for
    it on this occasion.

see that's it.....I love my son and will help out
but if she wants to lie through her arse like she is, accuse me of hideous
crimes against her that I didn't do, call me and my partner unfit of child
consumption and hold my son from me, there comes a time where you have to
just walk away and disappear.......that time has not come yet, not without a
    fight, a bloody expensive fight

thnks Jodie, good to here from the dark evil side :p

I suggest you both chill and talk to each other. Don't make the lawyers fat
with the money that your kid could use. Ain't easy to hold in the anger but
you have to. Don't let the kid be affected by any bad karma between you and
your ex. You can hit each other over the head with lawyers all day and at
the end of it, only the lawyer goes home happy.

It's hard to have a fight on your own. Make concessions. Be more than
reasonable. Even in the face of blind hatred. The alternative is far worse.
