Commuting's about to get funner
Damn right. This was going to be a 1 year old Yam XT600, but the deal on offer was pretty good. It's got Supermoto wheels, although the tyres are a bit dual-purposey - still, probably no bad thing in the wet http://www.below.org.uk/ccm-1.htm
I had to ride it 90 miles down the A1 on Friday. The way the headlight was looking they've got some big scary in-bred bugs up in Fenland
also, you gaylord, there are still spaces at Snetterton on Wednesday, according to Focused Events website...
darsy says... Evening session only, so he'll have to ask mummy if he can stay up past bedtime. BTW did you get your tyres sorted.
dwb says... Aye, should be sunny(ish) and dry all day and I've fitted EBC HH pads and got some sticky new rubber[1]. Looks like I'm going to be running out of excuses as to why I'm dog slow. [1] BT012ss
yes, I noticed that after posting, hence my (ineffectual) attempt to cancel. well, yes, if by "sorted" you mean "checked the weather forecast and decided to risk using the Rennsports".
whatever. All I know is I'm not riding directly behind you[1], just in case. [1] actually, I'm expecting you to be faster than me[2]. [2] I'm especially crap at the moment.
Yeah, screw that. While picking up my bike I noticed that Stamford Superbikes were running a track day at Cadwell in early September complete with BBQ and (gasp!) track instruction from John Reynolds and some famous Japanese guy whose name I can't remember. £120 - thought I might give it a go. Whatever, I'm keen to do some trackdays this summer, so I'll definitely tag along to the next one
