Hair gel should be banned - it clearly has performance-enhancing

Bear emerged from their own little world to say
Eddie Butler [1] mentioned the history between England and the NZ ref at
    the top of the game.

Have you seen how they lay that pitch?

It comes in on forklifts like some oversized carpet tiles. No surprise
it's shite turf all things considered.

The English player for me was Charlie Hodgson - we missed Wilko less
    than I thought we would.

Well at least you didn't riot and wreck Cardiff which is what would have
happened if it had been football instead of rugby.
The way we played against the French means that you may very well be on
the receiving end in a week or two, we'll see how smug yer coupon is
    then bawbag.

We go to liberate, not to conquer. We are entering Iraq to free a
people, and the only flag that will be flown in that ancient land is
their own. Don't treat them as refugees, for they are in their own
country. If there are casualties of war, then remember, when they woke
up and got dressed in the morning they did not plan to die this day.
Allow them dignity in death. Bury them properly and mark their graves.
You will be shunned unless your conduct is of the highest, for your
deeds will follow you down history. Iraq is steeped in history. It is
the site of the Garden of Eden, of the Great Flood and the birth of
    Abraham. Tread lightly there."

Some day they will get a turf that doesn't need replacement every few
weeks. Why they don't sort out some extra lights with a natural colour
balance to assist on overcast days I don't know.

On the whole the Welsh did play the better, but it wasn't a particularly
good game from either side. Time to put 5 quid on the Italians :)

If your lineout and licking from hand are OK then at least you can control
possesion and territory when the rest of your game is failing. Equally,
if your lineout isn't working then the opposition only need one decent
player with a good boot to keep you completely out of the game.

It's not the only problem but it's such an obvious one and ouhgt to be
easy to fix. If Robinson can't find an alternative to Thompson, then set
him to throwing line-outs for a couple of hours a day until he can get it
    right consistently.

The other thing about robinson I didn't get, was the fact that on 4 or 5
occasions, I caught him burying himself in a ruck, while our forwards
seemed to be standing around watching. What the **** is the fastest man
in the team doing getting hisself buried in rucks? You're right -
captaincy should be reserved for forwards or half-backs; in wingers it
seems to draw them in to the centre, were they're of least use.

Oh, and shoot Steve fucking Thompson; we could (mostly) get away with
poor lineout ball when we had the ferenghi tidying up for us, but teams
have cottened on now, and until we can win clean, fast lineout ball[1]
we're going to be spending entire games pinned behind our own ten metre
    line, just like saturday.

    Tiff
[1] On the odd occasion we did win a lineout, we invariably tapped it
back off the top, instead of catching it and setting up a maul. Tapping
back immediately puts us on the back foot, because there's no offside
line, and they can leap forwards and get amongst the centres. If you set
up a ruck, they have to stay behind the offside line, giving us 5 more
    metres of space.
