    Hi folks.

I was just wondering, if a person was to put an ad, say on e-Bay, to
sell their vote, would this actually be illegal?

I mean it would short-circuit all these bullshit promises that pollies make.

Get right down to the bare essentials..... how much is a person's vote
    worth?

    regards,

Probably because they don't advertise it for all to see on ebay... and
they spend millions of dollars employing lawyers to ensure that whatever
they do is just ever-so-slightly not quite illegal enough to get them in
    trouble.

Because they aren't selling "votes"; they're just directing preferences.
The voters still cast the votes however they wish.

If it's not selling, why do they get stuff for their preferences?

Because they're lawyers and good at splitting hairs.

Because they're counting on the voters to be stupid, easily directed sheep.

Sadly it's worked 100% of the time so far!
