I love the fact that when he disappeared himself, his abandoned
vehicle was a Vauxhall Cavalier - how rock'n'roll is that?

  3. I love the fact that the band became popular after he disappeared. They
were still as crap as ever but got the sympathy vote.

the only track of theirs that I like is "If You Tolerate This Your
    Children Will Be Next".

Though I wonder how many welshmen fought in the Spanish civil war...

well, I liked the Apollo 440 cinematic cover version. Though it's been
overused in mobile phone TV ads over the years.

Yeah, he could at least have driven it into a swimming pool or
    something.

They got good just about then, IMO. "Design for life" became a rock
anthem almost overnight and really defined the group to the wider
    world.
I was quite keen on 'Design for life' and others off 'Everything must
go' , as well as most of the Truth album.

Now playing "You Stole the Sun from My Heart", "Tsunami" , "The
Everlasting" and others via Youtube. Not listened to them for ages, so
    that's my afternoon's music sorted :)

  13. Just an update.

Every surface around the house[1] has a fine layer of brown dust on it
    now.

    Yeah, my workshop's like that.

    Mahogany and iroko, most likely.

  15. According to Quentin Crisp, it doesn't get any worse after two years.
