Cheers Jim, fucking thing still wont let me install anything. Brand new install & i can download it to desktop, but it says the program is not working & you can go online, then it does **** all.

Sounds like you've well & truly fucked it. I'd start from scratch, making sure you don't manage to cram any 32 bit drivers on if it's 64 bit Vista, & vice versa. No. It's working fine for me too. Re: the OP, I dumped AVG ages ago and use Avast now. Works fine with my Vista box.
