S'cuse the double post... I was laughing so hard, I lost track...
    Whew... I can imagine..
hmmm.. Yeah, he sure did... Beemer isn't an issue with me.. Matter of fact,
I consider Beemer to be a friend of mine.. Now.. this "beginner" is waiting
for ol' John Moran to re-schedule all the long distance motorcycle riding..
Course we have quite a bit of "unfinished" before the ride begins.. don't
    we.. ??

This is funny. You have in your sig "Iron Butt Assoc". There are no
such "IB" rides that are 500/12. There are no such rides that are
1000/24. Those are leisurely scenic rides that old women and beginners
    ride.

You always bragged about being some sort of "Iron Butt Assoc" member,
and the best ride you've ever made for them was 547 miles in 12 hours.

Changing the rules of the association won't make it better.

And that means what? That you ride 547 miles in 12 hours with 0
    points?

There's not a 500 mile ride in 12 hours for the IBA. There's not!

The lowest ride they have, and it's for the women riding little
scooter bikes and such is the SS1k: 1,000 miles in 24 hours. I've done
that plenty of times and never bothered getting a "number" for it. If
I can't ride anymore than 547 miles in 12 hours on a IBA ride, I need
to fix my motorcycle...because it's broke down on the side of the
highway. Even in tight twisties on a sportbike, most average riders do
    that much riding.

The only documented ride you made was 1,021 miles in 24 hours. You did
it once in '02. If you notice, there's ALOT of women and scooters all
around your name in the list.

And for your little information, that ride *USED* to be 1000/18. I've
done that on two rides, in the same week going to BC Mexico and back.
Not too long ago, about the time you rode your 1,021 miles, they
raised it to 24 hours...for the freakin' women and pansy whiners who
couldn't sit their asses in a seat long enough to make the 1000/18.

What I read into that, it's taken you almost three years to recover
from that "long distance ride" and you still haven't got enough
stamina back to go on to bigger and better things...either that or you
just wanted your name somewhere. Which is it?

    X-No-archive: yes

    Someone quoted someone else:

Note: 2002 date referenced by one of the BW's.

    Cite, please.

Incorrect. The 1000/24 rules were in place no later than 1997 and
before IIRC. A full 5 years (minimum) prior to the date you quoted above.

    http://www.ironbutt.com/ridecerts/getdocument.cfm?DocID=1
    or
    http://tinyurl.com/4ywda

    Clearly states:
"Prior to 1993, the Iron Butt Association did not certify 1000-in-1
rides. To that point we referred riders to other organizations.
Unfortunately, that occasionally turned out to be a mistake. In some
cases, organizations that claimed to have rides didn't, while others
took riders' money and never delivered promised awards."

So, in 1993, the IBA began personal certifying 1000-in-1 rides. That's
1000 miles in 1 day. A day is 24 hours for those who haven't figured
that out yet. Prior to 1993, other organizations certified 1k-in-1
(not 1k-in-0.75) rides (more or less). That brings the
easily-verifiable beginning to no later than NINE YEARS prior to the
date you quoted above. Just going to the IBA list of finishers of
1000-in-1 (again, not 1000-in-0.75) rides documents the first
    IBA-sanctioned such ride as:

    Keith Meredith 10/21/93 BMW K75RT 1,003

Fabricating imaginary worlds doesn't wash outside of the effort at
compartmentalization used to avoid internal mental strife and
discomfort of those carrying the BW gene. The problem with
pathological lying is that many times the lies are easily debunked by
even the most casual of research.
    Clearly (as documented above) not.

  8. If Brain says it, it must be true. Any facts presented to the contrary,
no matter how well documented from the original source they may be, are
wrong. Brain is the sole judge of all that is true.

Of course, just a few posts ago according to Brain, I hadn't ever
completed *any* IBA sanctioned ride, nevermind the 2001, 2002 or 2003
Waltzes. Now according to Brain, I have. Flippity, floppity...

The fact is, you and Mark Johnson have very effectively undermined your own
values on this newsgroup..I will have to say that you have succeeded in that
area, much more than Mark, although he isn't far behind .. When you
commenced attacking and insulting posters wives, and accusing other posters
of neglecting their children, causing their deaths, there doesn't remain
much more to said for you..

Mark hasn't gone to that extent, so far as I know.. His contributions have
been limited to supporting your claims of motorcycling accomplishments in
long distance riding..Of course, Mark has to support you in those ridiculous
claims, otherwise, his own claims become meaningless..Neither John Moran or
Mark Johnson have ever shown any inclination to participate or support any
Biker activity that would involve other Bikers..

Most of the posters on this group have seen the acrobatics and lengths that
you both participate in, to re-enforce the image you try to portray..That
image would appeal to the uninformed or the rookie, but neither of you are
capable of the integrity and character to impress anyone else..John Moran
and Mark Johnson have completely exposed their own lack of courage and
    character on this newsgroup..

That being said, it doesn't matter if you can ride your motorcycle across
Texas in an hour.. you wouldn't do that unless there were a certificate
involved.. Even then, you'd lie about it..

  10. <>~~~I bet if you did a scientific comparison that a 25" TV, as viewed
at 7', would appear to the viewer as smaller than a 15" screen at arms
length. Unless your arms were abnormally long.

I have done that experiment, Mark, and it is not. The 25'' Screen, is
much ez'er to read for me, even at 7-foot. There's a lotta difference.
And remember I am cocked back in a rocker, with a remote, I bet you
didnt know all this about a WebbyTV, huh? They first came on the market,
in 95, by microsoft. I was wanna of tha' first to purchase, here, and
the only place was at Dilliards. I've got a friend who, uses his, hooked
up to a 48''TVScreen...talking about some big ole Email messages..

  13. Bill's Bad Dream

    <fade in>

Bill Walker, The Outrider, leads a pack of Bikers down the shining
road, his chaps and hair glistening in the sunlight from the saddlesoap
liberally applied to both. The mighty 750s roar as they pass the city
limits of Irving to meet Hector and SJ on their triumphant return from
Galveston. Outrider and his gang pull over and wait until there appears
a flat bed trailer, with two rusted and frozen up bikes on the bed. It
pulls up, grinding the gravel to a stop as two bedraggled, sunken eyed
and badly sunburned human wrecks fall out of the cab.

"Hector? SJ? Sheeit, what happened to you?" Outrider asks in
disbelief. "Outrider, you stupid sunuvabitch," yells Hector, " we went
to Galveston like you asked but you never said what to do or when we
could come home". Outrider stares in disbelief as the rusted hulks of
the bikes are dropped off the bed on to the concrete by the truck driver
as SJ walks up. "Dude," SJ said slowly to Outrider, " don't ever call
me for shit again. I think I got West Nile virus from the fuggin
mosquitos and you didn't tell me the place was rife with rattlesnakes
and watermocassins. Fer Chrissakes, it's a goddam saltwater swamp!
    Where were you?! "

Outrider was eyed by the rest of the gang, wondering how their
impervious to reality leader would take such an affront. "I was at an
important TMRA2 meeting and couldn't get away" he replied proudly,
figuring that would unite all Bikers under his sway.

"Fer 6 freakin' months?!?" yelled Hector. "You are so full of shit, and
everyone knows it but you! Look at my bike! The chrome is flaking off
in sheets, the forks are covered in salt, the swingarm barely moves and
the fukking fenders have rust holes in them! The damn thing won't even
kick over! You owe me for this!"

Outrider starts to back away, saying, "Hector, my long time good friend,
let's have some coffee and talk about this. It's the Republicans who
have caused this problem and if we just..."

Hector cuts Outrider off abruptly," You owe me and SJ new bikes and the
money for our time. How the hell you gonna pay?" Hector demands of
Outrider as SJ chimes in: " I don't think he can pay us, Hector. He
aint got shit. I don't think he ever intended to pay us."

Outrider turns to his gang of riders and shouts " OK, go get them for
    me, boys!"

But none of them move, yet.
The gang of riders looks at one another and giggling starts until it
turns into uproarious laughter. "We're the Dallas Boys of Leather
Club," says one muscular figure with perfect hair. " We figured since
you were wearing those crotchless chaps and you told us you were looking
for strokers, that you wanted to join us too! Looks like you're gonna
    get it coming and going!"

The group of Leather Boys, Hector, and SJ surround the wide-eyed
Outrider and slowly the circle closes in, collapsing into a cloud of
dust and commotion. Somewhere, under the flashing leather and flying
gerbils, the voice of Outrider screams a muffled cry "it was the gucci
helmet wearing mmmmmmpppffff, ahhhhhh, they did this to me in california
too, owwwwww, i won't lie anymore, nooooooooo, zzziiiiipppppp, oowwwww,
mmpppffff"... Outriders voice and mind are choked by things best left
    unsaid....

    <fade out>

    Not true, fat man.

"the best ride you've ever made for them was 547 miles in 12 hours."

I would say that 1,021 miles in a 24 hour period would be considered
below that statement. Can you add? You can't seem to read.

Once again, Johnny Moron has talked out his ass. Of course, he'll say
    I'm just "twisting it".

Oh, and "nevermind the 2001, 2002 or 2003 Waltzes", you can't seem to
get enough to even get recognized. Can you show that you've done more
of a "ride"? I can't seem to find it. On this latest waltz, you didn't
even get a single point...and barely made the miles you did. You came
in dead last of who was listed...even though that was your "best
ride". I'm sure there were others who were behind you, but those
    didn't finish. You're still a joke!

  16. and here's the twist by Brain, a quoted line taken out of context. This
is his entire post for clarity:

Now study the contradiction here. His 1st paragraph says there are
neither 500/12 IBA rides (correct, there are none) nor 1000/24 IBA rides
(incorrect, these can be IBA recognized).

His second paragraph then says " the best ride you've ever made for them
was 547 miles in 12 hours"

Which is it? If neither ride isn't recognized, as Brain claimed in the
first paragraph, then I haven't done any recognizable ride for them at
    all.

But now a couple of days after that post, he is saying that the 547/12
is better than a recognized ride of 1021/24 . ->This is after he was
previously saying the 1000/24 IBA recognition didn't exist. <-

    Flippity, floppity

Brain contradicts himself in his own statements.
Knowing the rules of the association makes it accurate.
The 547 half day has nothing to do with the IBA, it doesn't exist to
them. That was solely a WATR 2004 feature.

Brain claims no such IBA rides as 1000/24 exist ?
Mark corrected him and gave the history of it back to 1993.

Comparing a 12 hour ride to a 24 hour ride in general doesn't work
because the 12 hours of darkness in the 24 produces fewer miles due to
lower average speeds incurred after darkness.

Comparing a non recognized ride to a recognized one is a non sequitor,
it's apples and oranges. Same thing for a 12 hour versus 24 hour ride,
they are different. Of course Brain didn't know what the actual IBA
rules for any rides were before he started spouting off.

    Nice work, Flounder. Flippity, floppity...

    Wholly Crap, Fat Boy!!!

So to argue the point, you're NOW saying that the 547/12 *wasn't* the
best you've done and it's not an IBA ride?

Have you done better than that, right or wrong? Have you claimed
before that the 500/12 was part of a IBA event, right or wrong?

No wonder someone calls you "Johnny Moron".
