I've said it before & I'll say it again - recommendations are useless
if you don't mention whether it's unbundled or not.

So 30/month for 100GB with Zen, 22/month for unlimited with Be, both of
which will be using exactly the same BT lines & kit.

  7. Aha, I thought I wasn't imagining it. At present it's wonderful. The sods.

Why, though? I mean, on the face of it, it's just text. Does NNTP really
    take up that much bandwidth?

It does if you start hitting the binary groups.

  10. Cable, which I suspect limits my choices somewhat.

£17/month for unlimited with Be. The £22 option gives you a static IP.

You sure? 17 for Value, 22 for Unlimited according to their website.

The thing that makes me twitchy about them is they can't even fix their
borked number checker, which doesn't really inspire confidence that
they'd be able to fix any problems I had.

IR probably a TC, but how do you tell your newsreader which port to
use? The above page doesn't seem to say...

In my ancient version of Agent I need to alter the Agent.ini file
located in Program Files/Agent/Data. In more modern versions I think
    it's in the GUI.

Ta. Not that I use the goiman server these days, but depending on
which work server I remote connect to NNTP is blocked, so I'll try
this port change next time to see if that gets around it.

Text groups such as this use very little bandwidth.
The problem is that nobody has had the balls to get rid of
alt.binaries.* which is a popular method of trading gigabytes of
illicit copies of films, CDs and pron.
