Looking for pricing, copies of original magazine adverts etc for Vincent
Rapide, around 1952 1954. Also comparative pricing adverts for Triumph,
    BSA, Norton etc.
I thought that some enthusiasts may have old UK motorcycle magaazines
which they could scan. Or am open to any suggestions where this sort of
info may be available in an archive.
The info is important, but the reason bizarre, pls don't ask ;-)
    Cheers

    How urgent is this?

Next time I see Jack, up the Old Road, I could ask him what he paid for
his.....he bought it new, about '54 or '55, still has it, and still
    rides it. :)

Probably won't catch up with him or a week or two.

When Bill Martin bought his, it was a year's wages for the bank clerk
he then was. I think he said 450 pounds, but it's been a while.

Which makes the current equivalent an MV I suppose.

Hmm, I was wrong. I did talk to Jack yesterday. His is a 52 Touring
Rapide. He didn't actually buy his new, but said that it was 415
pounds, new, and also reckoned it was 100 pounds more expensive than a
    Triumph, at the time.
