It's quite a hefty moulded plastic frame with little rubber feet (like you get on the bottom of a laptop), mounted to which is a nice silvery mesh, then a layer of perforated alloy and topped off with a red platisiced filter element. It's fecking *huge*, and very flat. Strange.
