I need help with this one - 'cos it seems like my brother is going to be
stung big-time if he's not _very_ careful.

Would I be right in assuming that the Motad stainless system can be used
with a standard can? - he has a choice of 2 at the moment (Yoshi and
Micron), and Motad seem to charge an extra £150-£200 for their can on
top of the £330 for the headers and collector.

Also, he obviously knows about the difficulty of fitting - but any idea
how long he should be looking at / roughly what a main dealer would
charge for this kind of job?

At the moment, he's been told £569 for a full Motad system incl.
delivery - which seems steep, when you take into account delivery.
Although, this does include the Motad can, which I think he probably
    doesn't need.

A main dealer would be able to give you this information very quickly
    and accurately.

Well, obviously. But I'm being bombarded with questions at the moment,
and don't feel like telling him to **** off and sort it himself ;-)

I'm also trying to get a ball-park figure so he doesn't get ripped off -
he doesn't really know much about bikes and he's come very close to
being stitched up by his local main dealer in the past.

Aye - I've pointed him in their direction. If they still exist - their
website looks to be pretty much buggered at the moment.

The biggest problem being that he's in Manchester and Swona is in
    Edinburgh.

I still reckon it's his best option, though.
Not worth it, IMHO, you _really_ don't want to be in the same situation
12 months down the line with a VFR.

You can lead a horse to water mate, but some you have to kick in the
    bollocks to make them drink.

Heh..... I did tell him about them, but, as I've said above, their
webshite is down, and I've also found they're not responding to
    emails..... doesn't sound good.

Told him to give them a bell in the morning - fingers crossed.

    I don't think it's a big task to hand to the ****.
So phone five main dealers and see what the range of quotes is.

I recommend Redline Honda in Colchester, btw; great blokes.

Oh and I've changed a VFR exhaust in 4hrs before by taking the
    rear subframe off.

heh. Apart from your very good self, of course.

Also, I don't want to be bandying your name around, in case (a) you don't
want the hassle or (b) you become too busy to look after me!
I will bear that in mind. It will probably concern me at some time.
