Well, the Mito subframe was picked up from the powder coaters today, a
most acceptable looking job for £20.00 too.

The decals still haven't arrived (which is why I haven't pinged either
Beav or Adie), hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow.

A decent 2nd hand lower radiator has been purchased and is on it's way
too, so the original can be recored etc at our leisure.

Tonite we shall be mostly refitting the subframe and associated
electrical bits and stuff. Then the rebuilt clocks can be refitted and
top half of fairing reinstated. Finally the new stumpy "moto maggot"
zorst can be fitted following last weekend's fabrication of a rather
natty adaptor ring fabricated by yours truly from an old stainless
    zorst hanger.

Gosh but it's a whole world of fun in my garage.

Should look good when it's finished.

I went to Surrey today to collect a complete brand new fairing for the
SV, came home to find a nice set of black Hel braided hoses waiting for
me, so they went on before I rebuilt all the front bodywork.

The SV is finally totally rebuilt, and looks much better than when I
bought it. There's a Fabbri double bubble screen on its way for
collection on Tuesday - dark tint of course.

Well we didn't have a good start, as one of the main frame mounts where
the subframe bolts on decided to lose it's thread without too much
    encouragement.

We have decided not to helicoil it, but instead will get longer bolts
for both sides and shove nylock nuts on.

Oh, and the VFR battery won't sit in the Mito tray (we really should
have checked this out in advance), so it looks like we're going to have
to use a Mito sized battery instead, which hopefully will have enough
    oomph for the little V4.

Ah, the never-ending list of unforeseen complications and
    incompatibilities goes on.

Top Tip - don't leap in the dark - go see your local vendor of cheap
bike batteries (aka lawnmower batteries) and supply them with the
required dimensions. They'll be able to look up the Big Boy's Book of
Batteries and select the gruntiest one there is, or at least one that
is comparable in amp-hourage to the original.

Matey who supplied the seat has a similar conversion on his VFR, and
reckons the Mito battery is up to the job, with the caveat that leaving
it on the optimate is a good idea. I'm not so sure, so I reckon we'll
    be heeding your sage words.
