Walk past the chippy for a week and see how much of it is pie and chip
    retention.

Maybe, but perhaps a more varied diet might help? All the
healthy-heart brigade are always on about eating lots of fruit & veg
and not much fat and salt, aren't they?

Seen how much salt there is in an Oxo cube?

You don't have to be going out of your way to eat 8 portions day. I
have learnt that in general I have to not eat out of packets. for a
start his saves kin hours in Tescos because I don't have to find a
decent light to be able to read the small print to find the forbidden
    contents and there isn't any.

You eat simple but extremely well.

You can get silly about it of course and reach the point where you are
not getting enough fats and salts. I have solved this problem by
allowing burgers and bacon and shite to be my source. I have tomato, a
good twist of pepper and loads of basil in me 1 less rasher bacon butty
and I am fussy about where I buy my bacon.

When I told the quack that there was simply no way I was ever going to
give up my home made mince and mushroom pies he told me to use best lean
fillet, unsalted butter, read the oxo cube and where is his.
