    IME, none of it.

I've been to the pub FOUR times[1] since my birthday bash last year,
and I haven't lost an ounce. Then again, I am a lazy ****[2], and I do
    eat too much.

[1] Twice in the last week.
[2] Performance review this afternoon - my manager and I have known
each other a while, and tend to get "to the point" :)

  2. and in a months time you'll have worked yourself up so by the time it
gets checked it'll be up again.

seriously ask them to put you on a 24 hour monitor. this will get it
checked when you've got used to it and should show it as more normal.

TBH your weight is your biggest problem but the walking will help.

No. It has always been the same. Tenoretic is a brand name for the
compound. Look at the name "teno" from atenolol, the beta blocker, and
    "retic" from diuretic.

  10. Aspirin daily for the past 20 years has probably helped keep my blood
pressure down to something like 140/80 last time it was checked some
6mths ago. The doc expressed surprise, given that I'm a fat bastard.

    <minor rant>

Some fucking arseholes in Dublin decreed that pharmaceutical wholesalers
could no longer import bulk aspirin; oh no, it must be made by an Irish
company. This meant that the cheapo generic soluble 'sprin became
unobtainable six months ago and I had to buy blisterpack expensive
    stuff.

    Cunts.

Fortunately, a pharma co. just down the road is starting to make generic
aspirin this month, after being granted a licence.

Atkins, YKIMS, and before anyone says otherwise food does not contain
cholesterol, your body makes it to move energy around your body.
Of course it will, stop the carbs tho' and your body will start fat
metabolism after a couple of weeks and you will lose body fat.

Don't worry about the weight though as fat doesn't weigh as much as
muscle and you don't want to be losing muscle.

Or you could try the syrup of figs diet (1 bottle a day for a week)
    Prolly.

Good luck, read the books and educate yourself.

Bummer Ade, it'll go down when you get the new bike I'm sure.

At least you can share your problem, my families reaction is "we told you
so, you fat bastard!" Which relly helps with the anxiety that I'm feeling
    ATM.

I have read the book and I know it works. I have cut out starchy carbs, but
    I still eat fruit.
I'm loosing weight so it must be working. I love fruit and I really would
    feel shit just eating berries.
