Very cheap winterhack....

......needed. Preferably four-stroke, off-road motard thingy, as little
    plastic as possible (by design).

Here's the catch: got about 500 quid to spend. Must be rideable with
at least a few months MOT left...

Recommendations? Anyone giving one away? :)

I have a 1980 Yamaha XS400 for sale with 12 months MOT. Not pretty but
would make a good winter hack - £450 ono.

  4. Any KLR650 priced at 500 quid will be a hair's breadth away from
    terminal blow-up.

Doesn't get more winter hacky than that. Ex-sweller, does what it says
on the tin, and in pretty decent nick (ask TOG - he's seen it).

    Offers around freefifty squids.

Comes with MOT until sometime next year and tax until 11/05.

Hehe. It's actually proving to be as reliable as sweller said it would
    be.

Rather fun to turn up in the work carpark which is rather full of
expensive machinery like a Maserati, a DB6, several newish Merc
    compressors.

FFS just hitch the trailer to the car and collect the two bikes...
All this denial can't be good for you :)

Failing that, another 1400 of your earthly pounds will do the job.
