Just got off the phone with the Verizon tech support in Tijuana.. Seems as
though they aren't too familiar with Outlook Express. One of those tech's
even told me that we can only receive newsgroup and can't post on them..
LOL.... I hope you can imagine how that one went over with me..

Looks like I will be visiting Verizon Business Office again on Monday..
This has become an exercise in the ridiculous...

Anyway.. after I pretty well exhausted their tech's .. I must have gone
through eight of them before I finally got one that had a clue.. finally got
my small problem attended to... Phew.. what an ordeal..

Since they've outsourced their tech support to Tijuana, BC.. I'm on the outs
with Verizon.. I've used Verizon for my communication needs for a long, long
time.. General Telephone right on down to their Verizon..

Last month .. I visited the local business office of Verizon along with a
couple of friends and we expressed our displeasure that they'd outsourced
the tech support.. I'll go back again.. Monday..

Comcast may be my next ISP.. Thanks..

  4. I went to a cell phone for all my calls and killed my dsl and phone service
from verizon. I got tired of the problems with dsl and after letting
everyone know my cell phone number, I tried unsucessfully to get them to
lower my phone bill. $27 a month just to receive sales calls didn't seem
reasonable. I even offered them to remove the general service so all I
really would have would be local service. They told me that it wasn't able
to be done and all I could do is cut off service. Since they weren't
interested in working with me I surely wasn't interested in doing business
    with them.
