Ventura bags and riding gear - where to shop?

Hey guys,

Just a quick one to you melbourne blokes who might be able to advise me of a
good place to shop for a Ventura bag and some riding gear (leather jacket
etc.) preferably in the south eastern suburbs region..

Just bought a CBR 1000F and although it came with a Ventura rack on it,
unfortunately the guy didn't have the bag.... I have my eyes set on this
baby here :-

But would like to have a look at a couple of others on the show floor... so
once again, who's likely to have a good range of these bags in stock and
also a decent range of jackets and accessories at good prices?

On that note, anyone know of any specials / good deals atm?

Have a look at some other bags

Ventura Bags are expensive
they are also not waterproof

you can only buy a Ventura rack if you have one of their bags

 

You could email me and arrange to inspect /buy my ventura bag. Its been
sitting in the garage now for 12 months. Its in excellent condition.



I live on the western side of town.

 

There are plenty of other bags on the market and they'll just about all fit on
a Ventura rack. I have a Hustler bag which has more external pockets and I
reckon is more user friendly than the Ventura bags. All the things which I
might want to access during the day I can keep in the pockets, so I never have
to open the bag and rummage around inside until I reach my destination.

You'll find that different shops act as agents for different distributors, so
you'll find a good range of gear wherever you find a good range of motorcycle
and/or accessory shops... so depending on where you're located will depend on
the best place to go. Elizabeth St City, Ringwood, Heidelberg West, Dandenong
& Ferntree Gully are a few places off the top of my head where you'll find 3
or more shops within a few mins walk of each other.

Before you buy a Ventura bag, check out the RJays bag from Motorcycles
Accessories Supermarket. I bought one and its fantastic. Has heaps of room,
is expandable {pockets as well) and has a built in waterproof cover hidden
in a pocket on the bottom. Cant beat it.
It also expands upwards. Converts to a backpack and the rear part of the kit
turns into a bumbag.All straps are included as well as tie down hooks

i love my rjays explorer expandable bag, expandable to 82 liters, and you
dont have to use that, keep it at the 40 liter size, always better to have
and not need, then need and not have...
