I've been scouting eBay and the like for a radial master cylinder to
complement the AP brakes on my Gixer, and after consulting various
people I've decided on a Brembo one from a Ducati 999. Ebay shows them
selling for anything from 160 to 200 quid, which is a bit more than I
    want to pay.

Today while I was having tyres fitted at Flitwick M/cycles I noticed
that the 2005 R1 has exactly the same 19mm Brembo radial m/cylinder
fitted. Just out of curiosity I asked the price of one with lever; 125
    quid new.

Bit of a difference there which puts it in the 'affordable' price
bracket, so I think Mr Yamaha's getting my business on this one.

    I haven't lost my mind, it's
backed up to a floppy disc
    that's around here somewhere.
