CHP announces Friday crackdown on Highway 1 speeders
......
The California Highway Patrol will conduct a speeding crackdown on Highway
1 on Friday, and tickets could be plentiful if the results are similar to
a crackdown earlier this week along Interstate 80.

The CHP will beef up patrols along the coastal highway from San Mateo to
Monterey counties. It's part of a statewide effort to slow down drivers,
as collisions due to speeding are up throughout California. Aircraft will
also be used in the crackdown.

Hubby went Sunday and wants to know if the rider who oopsed is OK.
Looked like just scratches/bruises, but you know how weird things can
show up later.
