  1. I'm still putting off doing it.

I thought I'd plucked up the courage to do it but in the HBOL it says
"to make the task easier use the Honda parts"... Yeah, right, a spanner
and screwdriver will do it, BUT, it says on the thou models, like mine,
I'll need a 3mm allen key cut down to 65mm-68mm.

    WTF's *that* all about?

I can't see or imagine anything in there that will require "specialist"
stuff but I don't want to be pulling my engine to bits and then have to
leave bits strewn about on the garden[1] because I can't finish the job.

[1] More like a dirt patch with sprigs of grass and weeds.

That's one option but I'd rather do it. 'Slike brake pads, innit, you
don't realise what a piece of piss it is until you do it yourself.
    Both :)

[1] Not started on them yet. Decided to sort my car out first.

You need a long series 10mm socket for the lock nuts and an allen key
longer than the socket to twiddle the adjuster, normal length allen keys
do the job. I ground flats on the side of the socket so it could be
    turned by a spanner.

Crack the locknuts, stick the socket on and twiddle the adjuster using
the allen key down the middle of the socket, nip it up using the spanner
when correct and then finally torque using the socket with a ratchet on
it (or torque wrench if you're feeling glamourous).

You can rotate the tank horizontally and rest it where the seat should
be to save disconnecting all the plumbing.

    Hope that makes sense.

OK, I think I got that. The Haynes manual shows a ring spanner and a
screwdriver, that's what got me curfuddled about the allen key!
I was going to do them "that's tight enough" tight since my torque
    wrench got nicked/lost/abandoned.
That's a good tip, actually, thanks.
