Values of Used Motorcycles in the UK?

1. We keep winning the bombing competitions against the USAF, too. Not to
mention the drinking ones.

.....or a real fast acting one!

Looks like the 'cold war' may be making a comeback to offset 'global
warming'? :)

country away from you.
Nice catch, TOG.
We'd rather you weren't. Given past track record, you'd bomb most of the UK
back into the Stone Age. Here's a clue: we aren't Canadian.

And when your pilots are allowed to be called to account for their "friendly
fire" killing of Terry Lloyd and assorted UK servicemen in Iraq, let me
know, hm?

When was that, then? Hmm..... they might just have managed it in June
1940, if they'd just kept on coming.

That was about the time that the US Ambassador in london, Joe Kennedy,
gave us three weeks, mind.

So he was wrong, too, and he wasn't even as pessimistic as you.

Don't forget that near the end of '41 there was Pearl Harbour that
finally got the yanks into the war........but better late than never. :)

8. What's the Kiwi for "Keep your fucking great boots off the riverbank,
you inbred sheep-shagging cardigan wearer."?

Christ, we'll have some dimwit popping up now saying that if it wasn't
for the Yanks declaring war on Hitler, we'd have lost.

Luckily, America continued supplying England, and the RAF,
with the supplies needed to survive, and augmenting it with our own
military, so as to make it efficacious enough to ward of the
then-current threat.
The Battle of Britain was fought in 1940 without US help or assistance.
USA stayed out of it until Japan attacked Pearl Harbour late in 1941. If
the Japs hadn't started you'd never have joined in or helped, fact.

We do speak English......so it would be pretty much as you said it,
except the first part..."Keep your fucking great boots off the
riverbank" makes no sense. Must be one of those quaint local sayings....

Did I get the year wrong or something? You did pose the question "What
happened in 1941, then?"........

12. Thankfully. The US would probably have bombed London.

17. And you go and look up which country employed Von Braun, eh? I went to the
Von Braun museum in the US and found it sickening.

V2s did nothing to attack the UK's ability to wage war. What they actually
did was to rather irritate London and make its inhabitants even more grumpy
than they are generally are. Which is probably why we incinerated Dresden.
