My mates wanting to sell his Honda VTR 250 Import, it's got 33hp & is
unfaired, metallic red with external frame type thingy like a Ducati
Monster. Very clean & tidy, Tested & taxed etc. 23,00kms

Any ideas, I have no clue?

  2. Grey import, no spares available, etc etc.

It's 33bhp legal though, so someone might pay £700-800.

Spares can be got as he got a few bits, i was thinking around a grand
for it myself, so you may be right. You certainly have more experience
    than me!

It would be a great bike for a girl tbh.

  4. Well, things like levers, filters, brakes etc will be generic. Try
getting a tank or exhaust system, though.

Once again, presence of a twat is positiyely indicated by the 'funny'
but obviously non-existent email address employed.

So I was mistaken when I ordered genuine colour matched fairing panels and a
tank for a grey import from them?
And when they turned up after 3 weeks I imagined it?
    Twat!

  11. You can *order* stuff from anyone. But Dave Silver doesn't even list a
VTR250 on his site. Which you'd have seen, had you looked.

Which is my point. The stuff isn't stocked in this country, so has to be
ordered specially. And the VTR doesn't have fairing panels anyway....

Silver *does* stock parts for more popular greys, like Baby Blades. But
    for something like a VTR250....

Have another look at the site, sfb.

  12. Why is he a thick twat? He only tried to help, ffs, and Dave Silver probably
*can* get VTR bits. I've never bought any grey bits but I imagine they're
not the easiest parts to get hold of in any case so ordering them in, and
having to wait a while, might be the norm. Looking at Silver's website he
seems to list a fair few parts.

Look at the identify my bike link on the left! All you need is a frame
number and country manufactured for! I know the VTR does not have a fairing
but it does have some plastic! And no they do not stock all grey spares! But
you did say that parts for greys were hard to get hold off, which if you
have owned a few you would know is total bollocks! Now **** off you boring
    know it all ****!
    And have a nice evening.

  14. They are easy and quick to get for some bikes - like Baby Blades. And
very not so easy and slow to get for others. Like VTRs, which are a rare
    bird.

  15. Genetics, is my guess.
Of course he can. Given time and a lot of cash. Nothing's impossible.
Some stuff you can always get - like I said. Other stuff is harder.

    cheers!

From reading your posts you have been googling like mad! (you sad ****) If
you ever bother actually calling Dave Silvers(much better than using the
website) then you will realise that getting spares for the <odd ball> grey
imports is actually no problem at all! No one buys a grey expecting main
dealer service!( a bit like owning an Italian bike) so a 3 week wait for
something like a tank etc to come from the land of the rising sun is not a
big deal? But then you are the original know it all **** and any one
offering a bit of decent advice is clearly beneath you! And If you bother to
speak to them, any spares that do come from Japan are actually 25% (I
believe) cheaper than onda uk so the carriage and Vat work out similar if
not less than uk prices! Though you would know all that being the resident
expert on all things with 2 wheels?
So chin up old bean, oh and btw, Pip me old mucker, for some one so anal,
you do suck a lot of cocks!
And that's good night from him.
