Does anybody have an idea what would a 1998 Suzuki Bandit 600 go for?

Fairly good nick - a few scuffs on the engine casing, a few very minor
marks on the tank, a bit of a dink on the tank on the LH side (no
flaking paint or rust), replacement heated grips (non working due to
wiring). Currently not firing on all cylinders but suspect coil or
other electrical problem and planning to get fixed shortly. Currently
has iffy repair on collector box which will be getting repaired by
    banditmania.

About 16k miles. No service history.

    Any pointers would be appreciated!

So it's been down the road, needs a few repairs, the wiring on the heated
grips is shite, it's currently not quite a 4 cylinder, the 'zorst is
    shagged, it's a 1998 and **** knows if it's ever been serviced.

I'll give you thousands for it.

I gav 200 quid for my old Bandit, and it appears it was in better nick
    than this one.

Hell, I'd give him £200 for it.

    And I don't have £200 in my back pocket ATM ... !

After all the litrebikes i've owned, i'd still like another 600
    Bandit.

Call me nostalgic, we've surfed several metres of tarmac together :)

    Arse, rumbled.

Even the FJ is looking a bit forlorn at the moment, but it will live

You can FRO! Its not that bad a bike (I don't think its been flung
down the road, but its certainly been dropped (at least once - by me
while doing a U turn within 4 hours of buying it) on its side. I may
just get it fixed and keep it for now!

there are several in similar or better nick than yours, and more
importantly, in full working order and MOTed for less than a grand on
    autotrader.

Cheers Darsy, will definitely keep it - if a grand was achievable I
would probably sell it, as it is Ill get it fixed and it'll be a
    winter SOB.

So what do *you* reckon it's worth? Given your description of the bike, I'd
say that 200 quid was pretty fair. Fairer than I'd offer anyway.

If the issues with the electrics and exhaust were sorted (which I am
planning to get looked at shortly), I would have thought somewhere
between £750 to £1000. In the interest of not doing a Nige I was
being honest about the condition but really the only bad thing is the
electrics, exhaust (both looking at being fixed prior to sale) and a
few scuff marks on engine casing (and slight ding in tank, caused by
radiator in shed dropping on tank).

    Awaits inevitable *ding* comment!

I could be a million miles away on valuation, which is why I am
prepared to keep it and buy an additional bike, rather than rely on
the sale to part fund a new bike.

Ok, you were being honest and the result of that is the bike you described
"right now" is worth pennies. Add the fact that it's got no service history
to the mix and things don't look any better.

Get the things sorted that need sorting and it'll be worth a bit more, but
    you've not done that yet.

I'd keep it if I were you, thus avoiding any disappointment.
