boiled cake - done properly - is very moist in the first place, and
rendering it with butter makes it bloody lovely. Obviously served with
a big mug of very strong, sweet tea. I could turn up a recipe...
    that bit sounds familiar, though.

I like almonds and eat lots. Marzipan makes me wretch though. Those cocktail
    cherries have the same effect.

So you don't like those little Mr. Kipling Bakewell tarts[1], then?

[1] Not to be confused with a bona fide Bakewell pudding, which is the
dog's bollocks in pudding terms, IMO.

.... but will he be able to eat it?

FWIW, I also think that marzipan is the Devil's spunk[1].

[1] With sugar added, and rollered of course.

  13. You are wrong. Don't worry, it happens.
Worrying about it just makes it worse.

It hit the target right on the bullseye. I sat thinking of a house full of
maiden aunts next door when I was 4y/o

Aren't you thinking of a Gelatinous Cube, there?

I've stayed kinda constant in my endeavours with ladies. Never really
had them swarming, nor been stuck for a shag.

    I like it this way

I was brought up on Italian and Maltese biscotti. Nothing comes drier

  20. agreed - despite having a disproportionate liking for cakes [1] I really
    dislike marzipan.

[1] yes, understatement of the week I know.
