A friend has offered to buy Owen's old R80RT for spares. How much is
it worth? (For derisory values of worth, that is.) It's an M-reg, non
running due to electrical problems (friend has a good wiring loom on
his so he doesn't mind that). Good engine, reasonable condition
fairing, all luggage. No tax or MOT.

marina scribbled on the back of a napkin:
If you're pricing up the parts, you're probably looking at 100 for the
luggage if it's got the later one, 100-250 for the engine and another
    100-150 for the fairing.

In one lump, I'd say around 400.

I enjoyed riding that bike, in a "WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON??!!" type
    way :)[/QUOTE]

I suspected you were expecting feedback from tyres and chassis to arrive
    more quickly than it did.
Many, many things didn't affect the riding one iota, apart from it being
less reliable than my Italian car.
